Art Deco Blanket Box by Betty Joel

1900 - 1920
Description

A blanket box by Betty Joel, with a cedar interior and the designers label to the inside, signed by Betty Joel and dated 1929.

Betty Joel (pictured) designed furniture, textiles and interiors, and had shops in Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. The Studio Magazine featured her work between 1927 and 1937. Today the quality and design of her pieces are highly regarded.

All our furniture is professionally polished and restored where necessary. Our restorer has over 40 years of furniture restoration experience including 15 years living at Windsor Castle whilst working for the Royal household, so comes highly recommended! This blanket box with some wear commensurate with age to the top lid.
