Set of 3 late C18th / early C19th carved statuary white marble panels of classical muses .
Interesting and decorative set of three relief carved marble rectangular panels depicting classical Greek or Roman muses or perhaps goddesses. One figure with a classical harp or lyre , probably portraying the Greek god Apollo.
Possibly conceived as elements for a fire surround or decorative panels for the interior of a neo-classical garden temple or similar classically-inspired scheme.
Stepped integral bases allowing the panels to balance free-standing and upright.
In excellent condition with a polished surface showing minimal wear . One panel having had an historic repair to one corner .
