Description

A sweet porcelain figure of a young girl in her night clothes getting ready for bed, kneeling and saying her prayers. Dressed in a white nightdress with pink trim and gilt decoration, kneeling on a bright pink cushion with gilt tassels. The model is known as "Night" and was made by several manufacturers including Derby but I believe this one is by Minton, unmarked, c.1840.

It measures 9.5cm (3 3/4") high and 6.3cm (2 1/2") by 5.4cm (2 1/8") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Very slight rubbing to the gilt on her dress. A firing fault under the base of one of the tassels and there is light crazing.
