Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The door with original lock, hinges and iron key opens smoothly and there is a fixed original shelf inside the cupboard. Below this a single drawer with original iron ring handle.
The cupboard peg jointed throughout including the fixings of the oak boarded back.
Small chips and losses, a section of the left hand side plinth depleted. A few old worm holes, treated and long since dead.
Designed to be wall hung, with some fixings for this purpose on the back board.
A practical and very pretty early wall cupboard. Delightful!
