Description

A wonderful Elkington & Co. inkstand or desk set with two glass inkwells and a central lidded compartment to hold stamps, nibs and sealing wax. This is topped with a small chamberstick which would act as light but also to melt sealing wax when sealing a letter.

The base stands on four decorative cast legs and the underside is hallmarked E & Co. and Made In England which dates this example to the early twentieth century, c.1910 / 1920.

All in superb condition measuring 7 1/2" x 5".
