Delightful Art Nouveau Silver Mounted Small Purse by Ludwig Krumm, Birmingham 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

This exquisite Edwardian silver mounted purse bears the marks of Ludwig Krumm, importer and silver mounter. The black leather purse with sinuous floral silver mounts, very much in the Art Nouveau manner. The silver plated clasp is fully functioning and opens to reveal four "accordeon" compartments.

Additional front pocket.

Hallmarks:

L.K for Ludwig Krumm.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "e" for 1905.

Birmingham import mark.

Condition:

Leather in good condition.

Silver corners showing some surface wear.

Clasp in good working condition, silver plate a little dull..

Clean interior.

Dimensions:

Length: 11cm / 4.4 inches.

Height: 5.5cm / 2.2 inches.
