Large Italian Ebonised and Faux Tortoiseshell Mirror No1

19th century
Description

We have been fortunate to get hold of some truly stunning 19th century Italian frames that we have added nice quality mirror plate too. These make incredible features on any wall in a great number of interiors. The design is arguably quite contemporary which is why I love this particular design of frame. The moulding is incredibly fine and when I spoke to my restorer about these he informed me just how hard it is to make this moulding so it really is a testament to the crafts people of the time that created these.

This example is our largest with great amount of detail in the frame with nice depth. The faux tortoiseshell is also a beautiful feature that contrasts with the ebonised frame perfectly.
