Description

Antique silver Cyma pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss stem-winding movement, believed to be by Cyma, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The watch has a heavy silver case which is in good condition. Screw-on bezel and case back, a lovely sign of quality. The inside of the case back is hallmarked for Birmingham 1923 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, Dennisons was prolific supplier of cases to various watch makers.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a single silver chain, 32cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar is hallmarked for 1892. Some of the links have the lion silver marks and some are rubbed. The clasp is hallmarked for 1889. Total weight of the chain is 26g.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
