A very fine and grand example of an early 18th century walnut tallboy. The cavetto cornice above an arrangement of three short and three long drawers to the top half, which are flanked by fluted, canted corners, above the base with a brushing slide and a further arrangement of two short and three long drawers below.
This superb example displays especially grand, yet elegant proportions due to it''s height and slender stance. It has excelent colour and figuring to all surfaces and retains a full set of original handles, backplates, escutceons and locks. Having dealt in eighteenth century English furniture for over forty years, this is certainly one of the best I have seen in some years!
