English Sterling Silver & Tortoise Shell Ring Box for Five Rings

Description

A delightful sterling silver ring box fitted on the inside with a Burgundy coloured velvet, accommodating five rings.

The top of the box is inset with an antique tortoiseshell panel with stunning markings and colourings from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown. The shell in turn has a simple circular pique inlay. The shell is bright with a good glossy patina.

The silver brears the hallmark for Birmingham 1914 together with the makers initials L&S for the silversmith, Levi & Salaman.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" x 1 5/8" x 1" tall.
