Description

A very pretty pair of Georgian silver sugar tongs with all over bright cut engraved decoration with feathered edging and geometric panels with small floral devices. Very finely details and with an unusual cross pattern to the ends. The bridge has a vacant cartouche. Hallmarked for London 1793, makers Peter & Ann Bateman.

They measures 14cm (5 1/2") long and 0.8cm (1/2") deep and 5cm (2") wide across the ends. They weigh 31g / 1.0ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair. The decoration and hallmarks are very fine and crisp.
