Pair of Art Deco Handmade Oak Bat & Ball Cricket Bookends.

Description

This handsome pair of Art Deco oak bookends which are nicely made are in the form of cricket stumps and feature miniature bats and red cricket balls.

A very nice quality sporting item that was handmade in the 1930's and are attributed to Thornton Smith Company. A fantastic gift for a cricket fan and would look cool in a mancave, office or sports bar.

Dimensions: Width: 9 cm (3 1/2"). Depth: 12 cm (4 3/4"). Height: 18.5 cm (7 1/4").

Weight: 866 g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. A few small nibbles, chips and bumps leaving a nice patina.

Please note that only the bookends are included and any other items in the pictures are for scale only.
