Description

A lovely English stool made by hand in solid walnut and dating from c. 1740 and set on cabriole legs with button pad feet and well shaped hips.

Newly upholstered in a superb quality Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company tapestry fabric – a pattern and weave faithfully copied from a fragment of 18th century fabric.

This beautiful understated stool has developed a wonderful colour, it is solid and sturdy, without repairs or damage or worm and retains its original pegs.
