English Sterling Silver & Tortoise Shell Handled Magnifying Glass

Description

As useful as beautiful, the handle of this magnifying glass is made from solid or sterling silver with a decorative panel of glossy antique tortoise shell to the front. The handle is a particularly attractive shape with a highly decorative sterling ferrule joining the handle to the glass.

The reverse side of the handle is where the English hallmark can be found for Sheffield Birmingham 1924 (slightly rubbed but still legible).

The magnifier itself is of course new(by Hilkinson), so clean, clear and ready for use with good magnification.

Excellent condition, measuring 8 1/2" in length with a glass diameter of 4".
