Simply the best!!

The most honest original late 17th century oak master,s /wainscot welsh armchair I have had the pleasure of selling in 47 years of period oak dealing.

It is simply remarkable. Wonderful original colour and patina.

Absolutely no repairs or replacements .just 400years of usage

It also has a triple dowel signature see pic 3 left hand side typical of pieces from this area.

Just look at the wear on the front stretcher !!

It measures

It is from the llanwst area of north wales where at the time some of the best oak furniture ever made was produced for the castle there and surrounding wealthy farms and estates.
