A 19th Century Imari Vase and Cover.
The cover with a Foo dog finial over the bell shaped body, finished with a broad rim. The cover with scrolled gilt reserves enclosing panels of wild flowers. The vase with a raised collar over the rounded body, the shoulders tapering to a small proud foot rim. The vase decorated to the shoulders with reserves of scrolling gilt, filled with flowers, as per the cover, over decoration of an Oriental garden, filled with flowers and trees, amongst which sits tea houses. The lower body decorated again with scrolled gilt reserves, filled with wild flowers.
Date circa 1850.
