Description

A very handsome oval glass vanity jar, topped with a wonderful and highly decorative lid. Made from English sterling silver the top is inset with a gorgeous panel of tortoise shell decorated with silver pique inlay.

The raised border around the shell frames it to perfection. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1919. The makers mark is also present for the silversmith Synyer & Beddoes. Excellent condition, standing 3 1/2" tall with the lid measuring 3" x 2".
