Antique Waltham half hunter pocket watch, 1911.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, grade 618, which is working nicely. The gilded movement is fully signed and the serial number 18189309 which dates it back to 1913 (this grade had a low total production run of 12800). This is a good quality movement with screw set jewels and a Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 50.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and is the Moon model from the English watch case maker, Aaron Dennison. Dennisons supplied most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks, nothing too detrimental at all. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. There is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial has one short very faint hairline between the centre and the sub seconds dial but it is difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
