Victorian inlaid walnut pier cabinet

This Victorian inlaid walnut pier cabinet was made circa 1870.

The Victorian walnut cabinet has a pair of panel doors with a fine marquetry pattern at the centre of the burr walnut and with a deep cross banding around the edge.

The doors open to reveal the lined material interior.

To each side of the doors are the turret corners with a turned column with gilt mounts.

Pier cabinets with blind doors are rare compared to the ones with the glass.
