Three Serving Spoons Antique Silver & a Dessert Spoon Dated 1817

Description

This is a wonderful set of antique spoons set in sterling silver. There are three serving spoons and a dessert spoon. They have a nice simple fiddle pattern with a Hanoverian terminal to the reverse.

Each spoon has a crest engraved to the top of the handle that looks like a seahorse body with a lions head.

All the spoons are fully hallmarked showing the leopards head of the London assay office, the lion passant indicating sterling silver and the date letter 'b' 1817.

The makers mark is 'WEWF' which we believe to be William Eley & William Fearn.

CONDITION:

The condition is very good, 195 years old!

There is a full British hallmark showing the Leopards head of the London assay office, the lion passant indicating Sterling silver and the date letter 'b' 1817.

The makers mark is 'WEWF' William Eley & William Fearn.

The LENGTH of the SERVING SPOONS is 210.0mm Approx.

The WIDTH of the SERVING SPOONS is 44.4mm Approx.

The LENGTH of the DESSERT SPOON is 175.0mm Approx.
