Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
There is a brass gallery to the back and to the side is a pull out stationary compartment and a panelled door which opens to reveal four drawers. The cupboard to the side locks and comes with a key, the top lock is stamped “C&C”. It stands on carved feet with casters to the front and back.
