Antique Hefik ‘Bird in Ring’ pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a 17 jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Bird in Ring, a name registered by Fritz Kundert of the Hefik Watch. The Hefik factory was in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland and the company also had an office in Handsworth, Birmingham, UK.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is marked inside the case back as being Silveroid, ‘Guaranteed Genuine Imitation Silver’. The case is in good condition, just light surface marking, nothing too detrimental at all.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a single chain, 34cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
