Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Both front and back have a door and two glazed windows (with the original mirrors).

The tall chimney is where the magic continues with a turn opening the roof up to reveal the fitted interior to accommodate numerous cigars. The chimney can be turned the opposite way to then close the roof.

The underside is lucky enough to have two identical impressed makers marks B & O / Brevete/ S.D.G.D. (Patented, the S.D.G.D meaning "sans garantie du gouvernement" or without a governmental guarantee.
Exquisite in evey way, excellent condition, measuring 10" wide x 7" deep x 10 1/2" tall to top of chimney.
