Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This substantial chest of drawers features 6 descending finely dovetail constructed drawers incorporating finely turned Walnut knobs which also descend in size. This amazing chest features the finest figured Walnut to all of the drawer fronts which is complemented by its finely carved Walnut keyhole escutcheons which front its original brass warded locks (no key, but can be made on request). The chest of drawers also has its stunning bobbin turned pillars which flank the chest and the chest stands proudly with its simple plinth on slim bun feet. This tall Scottish chest of drawers is in stunning original condition, featuring its original beautifully glazed French polished finish with its lovely sought after lightly faded yet warm Walnut colour.

The incredibly finely dovetailed Mahogany lined drawers are a true masterpiece in craftsmanship, smoothly operating, tight (but not too tight) with little to no drawer wear and are very clean inside.
We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this chest, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
