A Bronze Ox or Bull Mantel Clock

Description

A fine quality French Bronze mantel clock. A circular drum movement surmounted by a winged cherub. A well cast and patinated bronze Bull or Ox standing on a base with foliage and a lizard. A gilt dial with individual enamel numerals. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell by Japay Freres. Circa 1885.

Height 13 " / 33cms Width 10 "/ 26cms Depth 6 " / 15cms.
