Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The sapphire is lovely quality, a deep cornflower blue, approximately 0.3CT and believed to be natural, though untested.

Stamped 15C. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.
Secures with a safety pin clasp.
The brooch is in very good antique condition, though missing its original safety chain. Please see photos.
