An extremely rare George III antique silver snuff box shaped as a stylised snail. Made in Birmingham in 1804 by Mathew Linwood an incredible silver box maker. The flush hinge is very tight and the lid fits well. There are a full set of hallmarks on the base, this box is in excellent condition with no damage. One of Mathew Linwoods best boxes, very collectable.
