Antique Gillows of Lancaster Mahogany Compactum Wardrobe C1880

Superb Antique Victorian Mahogany Compactum Wardrobe by the esteemed makers Gillows of Lancaster and dating from around 1880 . Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with dental moulding above a cross banded frieze with moulded Patera. To one side there is a full length bevelled mirrored door with original brass handle and internally it is all hanging with rail. To the other side there are two fielded panelled doors with original brass handles and with internal hanging rail. This is above two short over two long graduating drawers. To the moulded base there is a single and double drawer. All of the drawers are oak lined with fielded panelled fronts and original brass handles . The wardrobe is raised on a deep plinth base and separates for ease of transporting. It has the Gillows stamp on the drawer.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
