Krave Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.

The outer of the top half which is made of glass is covered in a beautiful dark brown crocodile effect leather with a sight level to both sides and the bayonet top cap has a new cork fitted so seals well and does not leak.

Marks: Maker's marks JD&S for James Dixon & Sons.
Dimensions: Height: 16.5 cm (6 1/2"). Width: 10.5 cm (4 1/4"). Depth: 3.5 cm (1 1/4").
Weight: 452 g.
Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of light use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches, marks and a little wear to the silver plating. The hinged lid has a new cork fitted so does not leak. The leather and glass is in very sound condition.
