Description

1942 mid-size Elgin De Luxe wrist watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number C702433 which dates it back to 1942.

The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 28mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 10k gold filled and it is in good condition for such an early piece, just light surface marking mainly to the back, but nothing too serious. The back of the watch has the initials MAE.

The curved lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
