Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The tripartite base with hand carved lion paw feet set on original small brass casters.
The octagonal column fitted to the base within a finely shaped and set octagonal collar.
This allows the table to be tilted and moved to one side when not in use, when tilted it needs very little space.

The top is superbly radially veneered. Each segment set with flamed mahogany in contrasting pairs, the crotch of the veneer aligned centrally and opposing on each. This is such skilled work and it is only seen on the finest quality tables of this period.

The whole top with a beautifully figured and deep crossbanding.
Seating six with ease the table is shown here with some chairs – four of a set of eight which are available from Webberley separately.
Guaranteed to delight, this is a fabulous and finest quality Regency dining table in remarkably fine condition and is strongly recommended.
