Description

A rustic adzed oak refectory table by Jack Grimble of Cromer. The solid oak top with adzed detail similar to the work of Robert "Mouseman" Thompson. Raised on trestle supports and united by a cross stretcher. Signed Jack Grimble, Cromer. Excellent condition, very sturdy no wobbles. English circa 1920-1930

Jack Grimble of Cromer Norfolk is often compared to Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson and other craftsmen from the ‘Yorkshire Critters’ school and is becoming more and more collectible. He worked on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and included commissions for the Royal Family. Jack Grimble created his style after careful study of medieval English furniture techniques, construction and materials

Dimensions: 30" high x 25" deep x 86" long
