Rare Cased Edwardian Silver & Agate Thimble by Henry Griffith, Birmingham 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a gorgeous and unusual solid silver thimble with a green agate top. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1905 and bears the marks of Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd. It has a plain band to the base and is engraved with traditional flowerhead designs. Stamped for size 17. Presented in a Morocco leather case, lines with maroon velvet and satin.

HG&S for Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd.

Birmingham Assay mark

Date letter "e" for 1905.

Lion Passant

Size number 17.

Dimensions:

Height of the case: 3.5 cm

Height of the thimble: 2cm

Diameter: 1.7cm
