Description

This is a beautiful example of a French striking mantle clock made in the late 1800's.
The movement is a traditional French design striking the hour and the half hour on a bell.
The dial is made of porcelain with hand painted numeral surrounded by a beautifully decorated gilded brass bezel.
The case is made of polished marble simulating a garden pavillion surrounded by four marble columns with gilded bronze capitals and four gilded acorns.
