SUPERB SWISS-MADE VINTAGE BLACK FOREST AUTONOMOUS MUSICAL HUNTERS CUCKOO CLOCK
Brief Description:
This is a superb quality original vintage Autonomous and Musical Carved Black Forest Hunters Cuckoo Clock.
The magnificent and unusual piece is embellished with carvings that represent hunting, including a carved stag head with antlers, two shotguns, a carved rabbit, a carved pheasant and a hanging gun bag with a shoulder strap.
The super-reliable Swiss-made 30-hour mechanical movement is both autonomous and musical!
The piece is wound by simply pulling on the three attached chains until the three acorn weights are raised to the top.
As each half-hour passes, the cuckoo comes out and bellows beautifully and, as soon as the Cuckoo disappears back into the clock, the four dancing couples rotate whilst a beautiful harmonious tune is also played.
As each hour passes, the same happens all over again, however, the cuckoo repeats its call from 1 to 12, depending on the time of day at that moment.
It is a fabulous original piece and works perfectly.
