The camphor wood trunk has a hinged lid to the top, which opens to reveal a spacious interior below a lift-out tray, along with a pleasing camphor wood aroma. There are indented carved handles to the front that are integrated into the design and a decorated latch with detailed escutcheon. Raised on carved bracket feet. A rather pleasing example, with beautiful carvings throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches to the edges and feet. The antique oriental carved camphor wood trunk is structurally solid and sound with a smooth running hinge. Overall, a wonderful example of its kind.
