Peter Oliver (1927-2001) SUPERB DEVONSHIRE IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING
Brief Description:
This is a superb original Vintage Post-Impressionist Landscape Oil and Impasto on Board Painting by famous British-listed artist Peter L. Oliver (1927-2001).
The exquisite painting depicts a rural tree-lined Devonshire woodland setting with a wonderful natural water pond in the centre.
The surface of the painting is magnificently textured with raised highlights that were created by Oliver using his signature technique of a pallet knife and oil paints.
It is both vibrant and entirely original throughout, retaining the original mid-century two-tone gilt and painted frame.
The piece appears to be unsigned, however, attached verso is the original Peter L. Oliver trade label.
