William IV Mahogany & Upholstered Stool
A superb mahogany piece from around 1830-40, now professionally re-upholstered with a Sanderson Morris & Co. Bird Tapestry fabric trimmed with Houle French braid, over a projecting moulding on exceptional turned & tapering legs with inverted lotus flower caps, this beautiful stool will impress in the most elegant of reception rooms, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully-deserving of the envious attention it will surely attract.
Width 49cm x Depth 36.25cm (19.25" x 14.25") & Height 50cm (19.75")
This stool dates from around the reign of William IV, so you might expect the mature character & patina of age, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use but, now professionally re-upholstered and in very good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
