We are delighted to offer this stunning antique Victorian rubellite and diamond cluster ring made c.1880. *Please note the photographed antique red ring box is not included and is for display purposes only - if this is of interest, please do contact us for further details.

This ring features a most delightful rubellite/pink tourmaline in the centre with a magnificent and vibrant pink colour with hints of deeper red and magenta depending on the angle and lighting. This colour truly makes this ring an eye-catcher and a distinguished piece.

The central tourmaline is surrounded by 10 sparkling rose-cut diamonds, each hand-cut and polished resulting in slightly varying shapes and emitting so much character and antique flair unlike contemporary pieces.

The gemstones are set in silver which compliments the diamonds and contrasts the rest of the ring which is made in 12ct gold. The ring itself is also crafted very skillfully with a lovely chased and engraved design with silver accented shoulders.

The generous size of the central tourmaline and cluster diamonds make this ring a superb standout piece. Glistening from all angles and possessing a unique colour hue unlike many other more commonly used gemstones, this piece is certainly a discerning choice for the distinguished antique jewellery lover and for those who wish to wear a historic item with exquisite style.

Tourmaline is known to be the birthstone for October and diamonds for April.

The ring is unmarked as is common with articles of this period, as such, we have tested the ring with results indicating 12ct gold.
