We are delighted to offer this magnificent three-piece set of Victorian 18ct gold brooch/pendant & earrings. *Please note that the photographed antique hardshell box is not included and is for display purposes only. Majestically adorned with garnets and chrysoberyls, this lovely set features fine Victorian goldsmithing in Etruscan revival style. The overall design features the most wonderful naturalistic foliate design with the gemstones positioned as if to symbolise fruits, berries or buds.

The intricacy is very fine with beautifully engraved accents and stippled texturing on the leaves. A splendid tasselled/chain festoon drapes from either side and terminates with a freely suspended drop with garnets and chrysoberyl.

The size, proportion and geometric shaping of this set is absolutely delightful with each individual piece presenting inimitable style and classical elegance. Better yet, upon combining and wearing all three pieces together, this set exuberates opulence and is a stunning example of carefully thought-out and artistically designed jewellery.

The earrings match the brooch/pendant design with further Etruscan reveal features; a gorgeous pointed drop and applied twisted wires embellish the pair. The tiered and freely moving sections come to life upon wearing, furthering its elegance and allowing the gems to glisten from all angles.

Whilst undeniably ornate and perfect for a wonderful antique collection, in our opinion, it is also surprisingly versatile and certainly a conversation starter upon wearing. Oweing to the bail and brooch pin, the main piece can be worn in various manners regardless of seasons and the earrings are such a lovely accoutrement to any attire, whether by themselves or dressed up as a trio.

A splendid addition for an antique jewellery lover or as a most impressive and thoughtful gift to someone special - a distinguished and discerning choice that celebrates fine Victorian jewellery and historic sophistication.

The gold mount is unmarked as is common with many articles of this period. As such, we have tested it for 18ct gold.

Condition: Great antique condition with no major issues/damage. The decorations remain very crisp and sharp - just two areas on the pendant where previous signs of gold testing are present and possible old solder reinforcement on the brooch pin.
