Antique Victorian 18ct Gold Heart Shaped Charm Pendant with Pearl - C.1890

We are delighted to offer this lovely antique 18ct gold 'puffy' heart-shaped charm/pendant locket made in the Victorian era c.1890.

Distinguished in style and unapologetically Victorian, this heart pendant features the most wonderful Victorian flair and embellishments.

The heart has a three three-dimensional 'puffy' design with beautiful curvature and quality despite its small and pretty size.

Additionally, in spite of the relatively small area that can be worked on, the entire front surface has been wonderfully hand engraved with foliate motifs which is a testament to its quality and the craftsmanship that has gone into this piece.

In the centre, a lovely round pearl is present and on the reverse, a heart-shaped small glass locket is present.

Overall, a superb little piece of Victorian jewellery with all the finest elements of intricacy and design in a compact form factor. A wonderful gift to a loved one or as an indulgent present to yourself - a versatile and stylish piece of antique to wear bound to be a conversation starter for the keen-eyed.

Pearl is known to be the birthstone for June.

The pendant is unmarked as is common with such articles of the Victorian period and as such we have fully tested for 18ct gold.
