Hedley Wilson has dated this Antique Ebonised Longcase Clock to the Georgian era.
The case with the original ebonised finish, and finely cut blind fret above the hood door.
The dial signed John Winkles of London, having a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with
spandrels favoured by Charles Gretton and Christopher Gould. The eight day movement with five knopped and ringed pillars, striking the hours.
A very fine and early clock.
