Description

A beautiful and extremely rare Victorian antique silver and tortoise shell vesta box. Made in London in 1881 by Robert Johnston. It is expertly crafted with the tortoise shell and silver head and feet. The box opens and has a gilded interior and a striker on the side. There are a full set of hallmarks underneath and text "Thornhill, New Bond St, London" the retailers. It is in excellent undamaged condition.

WEIGHT; 78 grams or 2.5 ozst approx
