Poirot Art Deco has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The dial marked ‘Gapaillard Rennes’, with an eight day movement that will strike the hour and half the hour. The oval clock face set in an elongated octagonal shape made from a variegated marble of brown and cream, a pale green jade effect marble and black marble. The stepped design to each side further helps to make a well designed, eye catching clock.
The garnitures, each with a square base, a column and circular top, ideal for holding large candles are made from the same various marbles of the clock.
Each of the three pieces on black marble bases and raised on circular brass feet.
The clock and garnitures in very good condition and the clock will be cleaned and serviced by a qualified horologist.
