Here is a very large and imposing watercolour painting of an English country cottage garden in full bloom - alive with Hollyhocks, Delphiniums and Rambling Roses.The painting has a certain light quality to it that reminds me of early evening, with the doves coming in to roost on the porch roof, whilst the eye is drawn to a tantalising glimpse of the sea, just visible through a crumbling ancient archway.
