Arrowsmith Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.

When lit the beautifully cast chandelier glistens highlighting the superb quality. The chandelier hangs on a seven inch chain and comes with its original four inch ceiling rose. The bronze gilt has been cleaned and lacquered and the light has been rewired and is in full working order.

The chandelier is stamped with the makers name G.E.C
G.E.C (General Electric Company) was established in London in the 1880s by Gustav Binswanger. By the 1890s the company had expanded opening new factories manufacturing lighting and exporting around the world.
There are a pair of matching wall lights available to go with this chandelier.
