This is a lovely small oak chest box with great colour and patina. On the lid in red wax is the name ''MARY HOOKWAY, her box March 1 1829''., surrounded by a herringbone border. The front of the box has two star inlaid and on the sides there is more inlaid borders. It stands on bracket feet.
This lovely small chest measures 36cm w x 19cm d x 21.5cm h.
