This is a good example of a much-loved piece of early twentieth-century furniture. It has been traditionally restored to a high standard, and as you can see from the images its colour is warm and appealing. Cleverly designed as an easily transportable bookcase, but also ideal for displaying a wide variety of objects. Each section, including its top and base (5 sections in all) is detachable and can be easily repositioned. The oak-framed glazed doors can also be easily removed if needed. The original locks that secure each segment have been serviced, and keys cut to fit. Its copper-plated escutcheons and handles are also original. A practical and attractive piece of antique furniture that instantly brings interest to a room setting. The measurements below are approximate - accurate measurements will be listed tomorrow.
Whenever possible Culvertons undertake the carriage of items within London and the home counties. Professional, competitive and trusted couriers and shipping companies are engaged for deliveries for the remainder of our customers. Smaller items, when instructed, will be carefully parcelled and securely sent by the carrier.
We strive to accurately describe and illustrate our stock on the 'Selling Antiques' website. However, we understand that it is not always possible to judge from photographs how an item will look in the home or garden. For this reason, if notified within seven days from the date of delivery we offer a full refund (less any agreed carriage costs) once the item has been returned in the same condition as it left our premises.
