Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The body is of glass, which is beautifully moulded and cut into the shape of a book, including ribs to the spine and all edges being bevelled. With the lid held open, the interior reveals two stamp reservoirs which are curved for ease of stamp removal. A wonderful example, of real quality that would look as good on a desk as on a book shelf. A great gift idea and addition to any collection. Dimensions below.
