Description

Delightful Ornate Three-Piece Dutch Late 18th/Early 19th-C Silver Tea Service Each piece has an elaborate raised decoration of leaves and oval checkered panels. Beaded central border to the tea pot and wonderful griffin head spout. Very well hallmarked to all pieces and a full set to the tea pot base; this could be late 18th century as I have been unable to reference the marks, but for the sake of uncertainty, I will list it as early 19th century.Hallmarked with the date letter 'D', which corresponds to 1838, although this letter is in a square rather than a circle (the circle is the format for 1838). A very attractive set with high decorative value is being offered in good antique condition with no repairs or damage.
